The Kaprain Group has bought the Stýblův house in Prague on Wenceslas Square from the development company Sekyra Group, reports e15.cz. Kaprain has acquired the property with a building permit for reconstruction.
Kaprain Group spokesman Ondřej Pechar and Sekyra Group executive director Leoš Anderle confirmed the purchase to the Seznam Zprávy server. They did not comment on the price of the transaction.
“We obtained a building permit for the Stýblův dům reconstruction project. This allowed us to evaluate the property and subsequently decide to sell the house,” Anderle told the server. The company bought Stýblův dům five years ago. The building permit allows for shops to be built in the lower part of the building. Another part of the property is to be used for housing.
“By purchasing the house on Wenceslas Square, we are expanding the Kaprain Group’s portfolio of trophy properties, which includes Victoria Palace on Vítězné náměstí or the Pařížská 25 project,” said a Kaprain spokesman.
