Peakside Capital Advisors has selected a general contractor for phase 1 redevelopment of the City Point Targówek urban logistics park. The contract will be executed on an EPC basis by Kajima Poland. Phase 1 demolition work is currently in progress. Ultimately City Point Targówek is to provide nearly 100,000 sqm of warehouse and office space, meeting the highest standards in sustainability. Handover of the first building to tenants is expected to take place by the end of this year.

Wojciech Zielecki, Director of Project Management at Peakside Capital Advisors in Poland said: “The redevelopment of City Point Targówek is a challenging and complex revitalization and requires the right partnerships to be executed. Our goal was to select a general contractor whose experience and track record give us confidence they can deliver to our high standards. Cooperation with such a partner will allow us to deliver modern and environmentally friendly logistics and industrial space to our tenants. Kajima Poland is the professional partner we have chosen to carry out comprehensive construction works for the first phase in the park”

The redevelopment project in Warsaw’s district of Targówek will be delivered in stages, ultimately offering nearly 100,000 sqm of space. Demolition work is currently nearing completion, to be followed by construction of the buildings comprising phase I of the park upgrade project. City Point Targówek is a functioning logistics park, whose existing operations will be continued based on a tenant relocation plan depending on space occupied.

The purpose of the upgrade is to develop a modern logistics and warehouse space, meeting high ESG standards. Given the project’s prime location, the facilities will be able to accommodate the needs of e-commerce and other tenants looking for urban logistics space.

The new buildings of City Point Targówek are expected to be BREEAM-certified as Excellent, and to achieve LEED Gold certifications together with WELL certificate. The park will feature a number of pro-environmental solutions, including connection to the district heating network, rooftop solar PV panels, electric vehicle chargers, bicycle shelters and insect hotels.

City Point Targówek is a constituent part of the portfolio of logistics properties purchased by Peakside Capital Advisors and Partners Group. The portfolio includes two other warehouse properties: Logistics Point Raszyn and Logistics Point Piaseczno.
