HB Reavis sells two more office buildings in Warsaw

International real estate developer HB Reavis has signed a preliminary sale agreement to sell two of its buildings, situated in Warsaw, to Savills Investment Management on behalf of a Global Pension Fund client. In one of the largest transactions of the year in Poland and also in Central and Eastern Europe amounting to €186 million, Savills Investment Management has acquired buildings A and B of the Gdanski Business Center in Warsaw, totalling 48,000 sqm.

Echo Investment publishes H1 2016 results

Echo Investment has published its H1 2016 results. The Group had the revenue of PLN 280.5 mln in H1 2016 (compared to PLN 273.8 mln in H1 2015), a gross sales profit of PLN 145.4 mln (compared to PLN 135 mln), an operating profit of PLN 404 mln (compared to PLN 31.3 mln) and a net profit of PLN 299 mln (compared to PLN 22.7 mln).

Aviva Investors Polish Retail Fund sells two retail schemes

The Aviva Investors Polish Retail Fund has signed a preliminary sales agreement for Focus Park in Zielona Góra and Focus Mall in Piotrków Trybunalski. The two shopping centres are to be purchased by Rockcastle for around 161 million euros. JLL advised Aviva Investors on the transaction.

AFI Europe to sell three Bucharest office buildings

AFI Europe Romania has signed a letter of intent for the sale of three of its five office buildings located in AFI Park Bucharest. According to a company report, the letter of intent has been signed in June. AFI Europe wants to sell buildings 1, 2 & 3 of the complex with the option of selling AFI Park 4 & 5 to the same buyer. The name of the possible buyer has not been revealed.

New leases

  • A fintech company has leased nearly 2,600 sqm of office space in the LIXA D building, which is being erected as part of an office complex near the Warsaw’s Daszyński Roundabout. The new tenant will occupy over 25% of the building’s commercial space.
  • Develia is moving its headquarters from Arkady Wrocławskie to the City Forum complex at 45 Traugutta Street in Wrocław at the beginning of March this year. It has leased around 1,400 sqm in the City 1 building. A new flat showroom of 280 sqm will also be opened on the ground floor. Develia's advisor in this process was the international company CBRE.
  • The District Labour Inspectorate in Gdańsk will move its headquarters to the Palio Office Park B office building located on the site of the Gdańsk Shipyard. The institution will rent more than 1.7 thousand sqm on two floors in the facility.

New appointments

  • Aleksander Loster has been appointed as Director in Savills Poland investment team, headed by Mark Richardson since 2023. In his new role, he will be responsible for working with international investment funds during the sale and acquisition of retail, industrial, warehouse and alternative assets.
  • Piotr Wilewski joined Walter Herz Investment Advisory Department as Land Acquisition Manager. He is responsible for acquiring land projects, preparing analyses of investment potential and searching for ways to build real estate value.
  • GTC Group appoints two people to head up its shopping centres in Poland Anna Borecka will take over as director of Galeria Jurajska in Kraków. Meanwhile, Marek Ciszewski will take the helm at Galeria Północna in Warsaw.
