NIPÜF Group has completed its latest warehouse development in its Pécs industrial park, located in Southern Hungary. A long-term lease agreement had been signed for the facility, which comprises nearly 11,000 square meters. The investment volume exceeded €6.8 million (HUF 2.5 billion). The total area of logistics space developed by NIPÜF nationwide is 168,000 square meters.

NIPÜF Group’s newest warehouse was developed in Inpark Pécs industrial park, located right along the M60 motorway, only minutes away from Pécs-Pogány Airport. The first 22,000 sqm facility in the park, delivered in 2020, is used for manufacturing and storing automotive parts. The new building is leased to logistics service provider Raben Trans European Hungary Kft. The remaining development land can accommodate 140,000 sqm of industrial properties. NIPÜF already acquired building permits for 38,000 sqm.

Dr. László Kiss, CEO of NIPÜF Group said: “With our new development in Pécs, we have not only strengthened our position in this region, but we also enhance the efficiency of our customers’ services. In addition to satisfying the industrial property needs of companies just settling in, it is important for us to offer domestic and international enterprises already established in the country the opportunity to expand. The role of the logistics sector is becoming ever more important in Hungary. This project is also important in terms of regional economic development, as several new jobs are created, in line with the goal of government measures. We are currently working on the development of more than 17,000 sqm of industrial space at another location, and will also launch new projects soon.”

Csaba Árvai, Managing Director of Raben Trans European Hungary Kft. pointed out: “As a result of our successful cooperation with NIPÜF Group, we are able to run our business in a facility that fully meets our needs. This new warehouse helps us offer even better service to our local partner, while the cross-docking function of the building makes it an important part of our nationwide network of depots. With this investment we realized a key element of our strategy: our extensive forwarding and logistics service portfolio becomes directly available to customers in the south-western region of Hungary.”

Hungarian state-owned National Industrial Park Management and Development Company (NIPÜF Zrt.) started its operation in 2016. The industrial property development group focuses on the establishment of a nationwide network of industrial parks. The company’s projects include standard and built-to-suit facilities.
