Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland is set to open another order fulfilment centre at Prologis Park Poznań III. The new BTS, totaling more than 48,000 square meters at Prologis Park Poznań III, will join the company’s other Prologis facilities with a total combined area of over 77,000 square meters at Prologis Park Błonie and Prologis Park Stryków II.

“Our industry is growing dynamically, and are developing and acquiring new customers. Our logistics buildings have to provide us with high levels of operational efficiency, and we also need spaces in excellent locations close to the main transport routes. We also need quick investment implementation, in accordance with our requirements and those of our clients. Prologis offers us all this and more, which is why we are investing in another building in one of its parks,” said Lidia Ratajczak-Kluck, President of the Management Board at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland.

“Understanding customers’ requirements is the key to success when implementing BTS projects. This is why our project team quickly became acquainted with the nature of the customer's operations, which combine online order handling and stationary sales. We also discussed both companies’ vision for the new space. Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in Poland, together with its client, intend to invest heavily in the building’s logistics infrastructure, so we have proposed construction solutions enabling such developments in the future,” said Damian Zdunkiewicz, Prologis Leasing & Customer Experience Manager.

The building will have a clear height of 12 meters and a reinforced floor allowing loads of up to 11 tons. The space will also see the installation of a large, multi-level mezzanine and infrastructure for the automation of e-commerce logistics operations. The design meanwhile includes the possibility of adding an additional dock door for greater ease of operations.

For enhanced safety and comfort, 12 percent of the space will be lit by natural daylight. Some work zone areas will be lit with as much as 70 percent natural light. Windows above the docks will be located in the dockside zone, and the doors themselves will be transparent. The BTS will also meet high environmental standards – it will be powered by green energy produced directly in the park, and energy savings will be ensured by the highest quality LED lighting throughout.

Colliers brokered the transaction. “We are pleased that our client, already satisfied with its cooperation with Prologis, has decided to further develop the partnership. The new investment, which will be built specifically for the needs of the leading clothing brand and operated by Arvato Supply Chain Solutions, will meet the highest of standards,” said Jan Barbasiewicz, Partner, Industrial and Logistics Agency, Colliers.
