Havi Logistics has leased more than 16,000 sqm of new space within the expanded MLP Poznań logistics centre. The facility for the company will be equipped with solar PV panels, heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging stations. Once completed, the new space is scheduled for handover at the beginning of the second half of 2024. Colliers’ Industrial and Logistics Department advised on the deal.

MLP Group has entered into a lease contract with a global company specialising in innovating, optimising and comprehensively managing supply chains for leading brands within the HoReCa & Convenience market. A long-standing tenant at the MLP Poznań logistics centre, HAVI Logistics is set to occupy in total over 16,000 sqm of space. The new facility will be 12 metres high. Over 15,500 sqm will be designated for warehousing purposes, including cold and freezer rooms. Modern office and staff amenity space, spanning two floors, will utilise an additional 680 sqm. Colliers played a supportive role in facilitating the transaction for the tenant.

"After surpassing the halfway mark of our targeted area, we are pleased to announce further expansion of the MLP Poznań logistics centre. The significant agreement signed with our long-standing tenant has paved the way for the development of an additional facility within our existing land bank. It is noteworthy that, consistent with our strategic approach, all our properties adhere to the highest standards and undergo the BREEAM certification process. We implement solutions that benefit the natural environment, enhance functionality and improve employee comfort", said Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board and Chief Development Officer at MLP Group S.A.

As agreed, the new project is scheduled for handover at the beginning of the second half of 2024. Its construction will adhere to the principles of sustainable development, with the project aiming for an ‘Excellent’ rating in BREEAM New Construction certification. The facility will feature solar PV panels, heat pumps, and charging stations for passenger cars and trucks.

"The decision to build a new warehouse near Poznań stems from our clients’ expanding needs and our strategy to optimise processes in the overall supply chain. Additionally, HAVI Logistics in Poland has ambitious business development plans, requiring the provision of suitably modern warehouse space. Together with MLP Group, a trusted and long-standing partner, we are advancing a strategy for sustainable growth, while also prioritising the provision of optimal working conditions for our employees", noted Katarzyna Piątkowska, Managing Director of HAVI Logistics Sp. z o.o.

"The collaboration with HAVI Logistics and their decision to expand at MLP Poznań necessitated the provision of a highly specialised facility that would serve not only as a warehouse with cold and freezer rooms but also as an office space with a staff amenity area. Fulfilling these diverse requirements brings us immense satisfaction, particularly that the warehouse is set to become one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in Poland. Its construction prioritised environmental considerations and the optimisation of maintenance costs", explained Łukasz Grupa, Associate Director of Colliers’ Logistics and Industrial Department.

MLP Poznań is located in Koninko, near the S11 expressway connecting Poznań and Katowice. The park is situated approximately 16 km from the centre of Poznań and 4 km from the A2 motorway. Ultimately, it will provide almost 90,000 sqm of warehouse and production space to be built on an area of 20 ha.
