GLP has begun construction of its second logistics centre in Lędziny, in southern Poland. The building will ultimately offer 40,000 sqm of space, 10,500 sqm of which has already been leased to D&H Engineering, a company specialising in metal component processing using CNC machines and serving global customers in the automotive, off-road, hydraulic, and engineering sectors.

GLP Park Lędziny II is located with direct access to the S1 expressway, approximately a 10-minute drive from the A4 motorway junction, connecting it to one of the most important transportation corridors in southern Poland. The development is being tailored to support the needs of freight forwarding, international logistics, and light production activities.

A solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of approximately 3MW will be installed on the building’s roof, while the warehouse space will use smart metering and energy-efficient LED lighting systems. The facility is being built to meet BREEAM “Excellent” certification requirements.

Robert Koślicki, CEO of D&H Engineering, said: “Lędziny is a strategic location for us. By investing in a modern production facility at GLP Park Lędziny II, we are strengthening our position in the region and getting closer to key business partners like Brembo, who expect the highest quality and reliability in deliveries. This facility will be equipped with production lines using advanced robotics, which not only facilitate the work of the staff but also significantly increase the efficiency and repeatability of processes, resulting in products of the highest precision. Thanks to the proximity of major communication routes and the advanced solutions offered by GLP, we can respond even more effectively to the needs of our customers in the automotive, off-road, and engineering industries. Our operations in Lędziny also present an opportunity for the local community. We plan to create new jobs, offering employment both for specialists in advanced technologies and for individuals ready to develop their skills in an automated production environment. The investment in Lędziny also confirms our ability to execute ambitious projects, highlighting our commitment to long-term partnerships with global leaders like Brembo.”

Marcin Żuchniewicz, Business Development Manager at GLP, said: “We are extremely pleased that D&H Engineering has chosen GLP Lędziny II for their new production facility in Upper Silesia. We are confident that the excellent location combined with the best technical specifications on the market and a proven development team will be the foundation of our new project’s success.”

Aneta Ławnikowicz from Renthis Estate, who supported D&H in selecting the location and negotiating the lease agreement, said: “Finding the right project and developer to meet the very high expectations of D&H Engineering was an interesting challenge. We are pleased that we succeeded with GLP. We are confident that GLP Park Lędziny II will be an excellent place for the further development of D&H Engineering. Next year, we will be able to see the results of the cooperation between the two companies.”

The general contractor for GLP Park Lędziny II is Bremer, and the building is expected to reach completion in mid-2025.
