Genpact Romania, a provider of professional services firm, has extended its lease in Bucharest-based Hermes Business Campus, owned by Adventum Group, until 2032.

Genpact will continue to occupy more than 29,000 sqm of office space and plans to add new facilities in partnership with the landlord.

Griffes worked with Adventum Group on the deal, while CBRE assisted Genpact on the lease terms.

“The continuation of the partnership with Adventum is a reconfirmation of our commitment to continue investing and growing in Romania,” said Alexandru Stoenescu, Country Leader for Romania and Bulgaria at Genpact.

Andreea Păun, Griffes’ Founder, said negotiations for the lease started one year ago, adding that this is the biggest transaction deal closed in the past decade in the market.

“We tuned-in a sophisticated strategy of granting the landlord a solid tenure of the lease agreement, while bearing in mind the goals for flexibility of a large technology tenant,” explained Păun.

Alina Calciu, Head of A&T Services Occupiers at CBRE Romania, said the lease validates the Dimitrie Pompeiu sub-market in the long term as a modern and sustainable office area.

During the last year, the office leasing market in this area has registered over 80,000 sqm of office leases, of which new demand accounted for 28,000 sqm.

Marcell Mihalyfi, Partner and Head of Asset Management at Adventum, stated that the extended lease agreement showcases “our confidence in the office products we have believed in since the outset.”
