As of September, Omar Sattar, a real estate professional with more than 25 years of experience in the sector at companies like DTZ, Avestus Capital Partners, and Colliers International, has taken over the management of the real estate investment team of the Czech and Slovak investment platform Crowdberry. The company now provides private investors with a greater volume of specific investment opportunities in high-quality residential projects and commercial real estate.

Crowdberry to date has specialized in investing in the equity of companies. Over the past five years, the firm has helped five hundred private investors invest in fifteen companies, such as Footshop, GymBeam, and Ecocapsule, with investments worth €24 million. At the same time, it manages an investment fund worth more than €23 million supporting young Slovak companies. A similar principle of equity investing is applied to real estate sector. In so doing, Crowdberry makes it possible for individuals to own a share in a specific real estate development, or existing commercial project, which sets the platform apart from most current real estate investment possibilities. A key element of Crowdberry's real estate investment platform is that it helps its investors to co-invest with an experienced development partner. On the one hand, the selected development partner can access a new source of equity and project ambassadors, while on the other, the investors help the developer grow and participate in its success.

Omar Sattar is an experienced real estate industry professional and a qualified chartered surveyor (MRICS) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He comes from Scotland; however, has spent the vast majority of his professional career (since 1997) in Central and Eastern Europe. Omar is also an independent board member of the CPI Property Group.
