Hungarian developer Biggeorge Property has extended its existing portfolio with an international residential property development division (Biggeorge Homes International) in Q4 2024, and brought aboard three new leaders to successfully implement its European expansion plans. Founder and CEO Tibor Nagygyörgy welcomes János Martin CEO, Zinaida Onczay-Vojnár International Business Development Director and Gábor Bakonyi-Kiss International Investment Manager in the group’s leadership.

János Martin MRICS joins Biggeorge Homes International Plc. from his position as director of WING's residential business unit (LIVING) and deputy CEO of WING. He graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Pécs and later gained significant experience in investment banking. Between 2008 and 2017 he served as a strategic analyst at WING, and from 2017 he was responsible for the group's residential property developments under the LIVING brand as the business unit's director. Under his leadership, LIVING – the division he launched and successfully managed both on the strategic and operational levels – has developed nearly 2,000 residential properties, and sold more than 1,500 apartments.

Zinaida Onczay-Vojnár was a partner and the head of real estate overseeing structured financing, real estate investment advisory and raising capital at Considero Investments, before joining Biggeorge Property. She received her degree in International Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest, and her Master's degree in Real Estate from Nottingham Trent University, UK (as part of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics’ RICS course). Zinaida started her career in 2003 as head of leasing and marketing at Bank Center, before managing the regional leasing and marketing functions for the owner's Central and Eastern European real estate portfolio. From 2006 to 2010 she worked as director of office sales and marketing for the GTC and Immobilia groups, before moving to Paris, where she became head of marketing for AEW Europe CEE and later AXA IM. From 2015 to 2018, she was the international business development director of HB Reavis in the pan-European region (London, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest).

Gábor Bakonyi-Kiss joins the group as International Investment Manager. After graduating from Corvinus University with a B.A. in Finance and Accounting, he received his Master's degree in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management. He worked in Deloitte's financial advisory team on international cross-border M&A transactions with a primary focus on the Central and Eastern European region (2014-2021). Between 2021 and 2024 he worked as an investment manager for a pan-European equity fund (Laub Capital), responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, as well as managing and closing transactions (Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Spain, Portugal).

Commenting on the appointments, Tibor Nagygyörgy MRICS, Founder and CEO emphasized. "We have reached an important milestone in our group, where – beyond our domestic market presence – we have also started to consider other countries in the European region from a real estate development and investment perspective. In order to successfully implement our international ambitions, we need acknowledged and seasoned real estate professionals such as János, Zinaida and Gábor, who will contribute significantly to taking Biggeorge Property's nearly 20-year success story to a new level."

The carbon cost is already in your building. You just can't see it yet

by Property Forum
A structural shift is rewriting the financial logic of European commercial real estate. It isn't being driven by ESG pressure or voluntary sustainability labels. It's being driven by regulation — and the numbers are concrete enough that ignoring them is becoming a financial risk. A recent white paper by workcloud24 traces the mechanism in detail: how the operational energy and CO₂ performance of a building transmits into net operating income, asset value, and financing conditions. The argument isn't that green buildings are virtuous. It's that inefficient buildings are becoming measurably more expensive to own, operate, and finance.
