The AFIhome Karlín rental residence project with 172 apartments from AFI Europe has been approved. This is the second rental housing project by AFI Europe, this time for CZK 1 billion (€41 million). The apartments will be available for move-in in spring 2023, the developer announced.

AFI Europe has just completed its second rental housing project in the country: AFIhome Karlín. The building at the corner of Thámova and Pernerova streets, whose architectural design was created by Bevk Perović arhitekti, is divided into several units that are set back from each other.

The project was created by a sensitive reconstruction of two original buildings from the early 20th century, supplemented by a new building reaching 10 floors above ground. While the upper floors are intended exclusively for residents, the ground floor includes retail units for the general public, which will expand the already rich offer in the vicinity of the Křižíkova metro station with additional shops and services. The residence also includes a courtyard with a seating area in a well-kept green space. The general contractor of the construction was Imos Brno. The total investment by AFI Europe exceeded CZK 1 billion (€41 million). Currently, the developer is preparing to completely furnish all 172 apartments in layouts from 1+kk to 4+kk for new tenants. They will be ready for moving in next spring.

"Last year, Křižíkova Street ranked among the trendiest streets in the world, when it was ranked 11th in the ranking of the prestigious Time Out magazine. Its atmosphere is truly unique: Art Nouveau architecture mixes with modern construction in the same way that local businesses are created here to offer a variety of delicacies and cultural programmes," comments Elena Pisotchi of AFI Europe.
