Panattoni has launched construction of a new plant in Łódź for Zrew Transformatory. The investment, worth about €27 million, will double the company's production capacity and create 200 new jobs.
"We are pleased to take another step on our path of development. We are increasing our commitment to innovation and supporting the transformation of the energy sector towards renewable sources," said Eduardo Terzi, President of R&S Group, the Swiss capital group that includes Zrew Transformatory.
The new investment will maintain quality criteria while increasing the power and voltage of manufactured transformers to 160 MVA and 220 kV. "We believe that cooperation with Panattoni will allow construction to be completed before the end of summer and production to begin between the third and fourth quarters of 2026," said Grzegorz Sołtysiak. "The new factory will ultimately employ around 200 people, at least 25% of whom will be engineers and other university-educated specialists."
The facility will be one of the most advanced power transformer production plants in Europe, designed for demanding assembly and testing processes. The hall will have varying heights up to 20 metres and is being built on 15 technological foundations with load capacities of up to 1,600 tonnes. The investment will be certified under the BREEAM system at Excellent level.
