Croatian autonomous car maker Verne has leased 28,500 sqm in VGP Park Zagreb for a new factory. Under the lease terms brokered by CBRE, VGP will develop a built-to-suit project for Verne featuring offices, warehouse space and a production facility.
“This transaction is further proof that the SEE region, and Croatia in particular, is an ideal location for the industrial and logistics industry due to its strategic geographical position in Europe, skilled workforce, competitive operating costs and steadily growing economy,” said Sonja Lončarević, Associate Director, A&T Industrial & Logistics at CBRE.
In the past years, CBRE has worked on several built-to-suit transactions, including a 40,000 sqm distribution centre for Orbico Hrvatska in Zdenčina and a cold storage distribution centre for HAVI Group in Velika Gorica.
Božidar Gaćeša, Head of A&T Industrial & Logistics SEE at CBRE, added that the industrial and logistics sector in Croatia will continue to grow in the upcoming years.
