The former Prologis Park Ziar in Žiar nad Hronom, located in Slovakia’s Banská Bystrica region, has been acquired by Tatra Asset Management. CBRE Slovakia and Ružička and Partners s. r. o. represented Prologis in the transaction.

The 20,000 sqm complex is situated off the R1 motorway about 40 km southwest of Banská Bystrica and 170 km northeast of Bratislava.

“This transaction streamlines our portfolio with our long-term investment strategy and recycles capital for further development and investment in our core markets, in line with our business objectives to provide customers with the best opportunities to optimize their supply chains. Our operations in Slovakia will now be focused on our core locations around the capital city and largest market of Bratislava,” Martin Baláž, VP, Country Manager Czech Republic & Slovakia at Prologis announced on LinkedIn.

Prior to joining Prologis, Martin had 6 years experience in Real Estate working for Cushman & Wakefield holding recently a position of Associate Partner Head of Industrial and Retail Warehouse department in Slovakia as well as Head of Industrial Department Czech Republic. He graduated Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia Faculty of Marketing and International Trade as well as MBA in Construction and Real Estate at College of Estate Management in UK. More »

New leases

  • UDH, one of Poland’s largest distributors of premium imported beers, has leased approximately 1,400 sq m of modern warehouse and office space at the Park Rysy Kraków distribution centre. The tenant, which has chosen to expand its operations in southern Poland, was once again represented by AXI IMMO.
  • Golden Star Estate has secured a long-term lease agreement with global technology solutions and consulting provider C&F for nearly 1,900 sqm of office space at the Konstruktorska Business Center. Following the transaction, the property, located in Warsaw’s Mokotów business district, is now almost fully leased. The Polish branch of C&F will officially relocate to the facility at the beginning of 2027.
  • Natland Group has committed to its long-term presence at Prague-based Rohan Business Center through a lease extension covering 2,004 sqm of office space, together with storage facilities and dedicated parking spaces, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.

New appointments

  • Indotek Group has announced the appointment of Diederik Bakker as Group Chief Investment Officer and Group Head of Asset Management. In his new role, the Dutch real estate investment professional will gradually assume responsibility for the company's ITAM (investment, transaction, and asset management) activities across 12 European countries, supporting the next phase of Indotek Group’s growth. His focus includes facilitating sound investment decisions across Europe and developing a group-level portfolio management strategy that combines local market knowledge with international asset management know-how.
  • Peakside Capital Advisors has appointed Bogi Gabrovic to advise the board and support its investment and acquisition activities in Poland. Gabrovic brings more than 25 years of CEE real estate experience to the role, having previously held senior executive positions at CTP, Golub & Company, and White Star Real Estate, where she managed transactions exceeding €2 billion.
  • Katarína Brydone, Jana Vlková and Vendula Maršová have been appointed as the first Equity Partners of Colliers’ Czech business. Brydone brings more than 20 years of experience in international real estate. Vlková has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Maršová, Partner and Head of Valuation and Advisory Services, brings more than 16 years of experience in real estate valuation and advisory.

Poland's property market hits €3 billion in H1 2026

Poland's property investment market recorded €3 billion in total volume across 66 transactions in H1 2026, up 77% year-on-year and matching the highest levels seen in the country over the past decade. Every sector recorded deals exceeding €100 million, with the single largest transaction — €575 million — completed in the private rented sector (PRS). Core investors are returning to prime assets, pushing average ticket sizes up while overall liquidity remains lower than in H1 2025.

BMW Group's logistics hub opens at Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park

Developer GRIDARCH has completed the third phase of construction at Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park (#OAMP) in Mošnov. Three new industrial halls with a total leasable area of 124,000 sqm will serve as BMW Group's overseas logistics distribution centre, with DP World appointed to manage logistics operations. Pilot operations are now under way, with the centre expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026.

Bucharest's residential market steadies, but buyers grow more selective

Bucharest's residential market recovered much of the ground lost after a weak start to 2026, ending the first half with apartment transactions down just 2% year-on-year, according to Colliers. Developers are also accelerating preparations for new projects, with the net floor area authorised for residential buildings in Bucharest increasing 3.6-fold in the first five months — the strongest pace in five years. Nationwide, however, apartment sales fell 9%, reflecting continued caution amid inflation, high financing costs and pressure on real incomes. Trends varied across regional cities: Cluj-Napoca recorded a 16% fall in transactions and Iași dropped 11%, while Timișoara posted a modest 3% increase.
