Romania recorded the fastest growth in road freight transport in the European Union, with companies reporting almost 29 billion tonne-kilometres carried by road in 2023, representing a 69% increase over ten years. This growth rate was three times faster than the EU average, according to Eurostat data cited by Colliers.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has ended speculation about the future of CPK (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny), a huge airport hub in central Poland. He conveyed that the investment in Baranów between Łódź and Warsaw will be realised. Transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has kicked off the construction of a new logistics project in Popești Leordeni, near Bucharest in a move designed to increase its storage capacity in the market.

P3 Logistic Parks signed a collaboration protocol with the Regional Branch of Railway Transport for Passengers Bucharest (CFR Călători). The agreement grants train stops next to P3 Bucharest A1 park for the Regio and InterRegio trains circulating the route Bucharest - Videle and back. This new transport facility will allow P3 Bucharest A1’s tenants to recruit labour force from adjacent locations, on the route Roșiori - Videle - P3 Bucharest A1 - Basarab - Gara de Nord and back. Starting 21 September, P3’s park in Bucharest can be accessed also by train, from Gara de Nord or Basarab, in a 17-25 minutes trip.

Currently, less than two hundred public charging stations for nearly 4,000 registered electric and hybrid vehicles exist in the Czech Republic. Data of energy companies show that the number of public charging stations should increase to 1,300 by the end of 2020. Developers building charging stations within their new office, retail and industrial properties are also preparing for electromobility, according to Arcadis, an international company focused on consultancy in the field of construction, environment and sustainable growth.
