Savills IM's transaction volume reaches €4.1 billion in 2021

Savills Investment Management, the international real estate investment manager, transacted more than €3.4 billion globally in 2021, including c. €2.6 billion in Europe and c. €670 million in Asia. Globally, transactions included around €2.1 billion of acquisitions and around €1.2 billion of disposals, resulting in a net investment of c. €900 million. Savills IM buys Warsaw logistics centre for €112.5 million

Savills Investment Management has acquired the A2 Warsaw Park logistics centre in Adamów, near Grodzisk Mazowiecki for €112.5 million. The property was purchased from Invesco Real Estate, a global real estate investment manager, on behalf of Savills IM European Logistics Fund 3 (ELF3), which already owns 11 investments across Europe. This is the fund’s largest transaction in Europe and one of Savills IM’s largest investments in the Polish commercial real property market.

Samsung subsidiary to acquire 25% stake in Savills IM

Savills Investment Management has entered into an agreement to form a strategic investment alliance with Samsung Life, the leading life insurer in Korea, and its real estate asset management subsidiary Samsung SRA. As part of this agreement, Samsung Life will acquire a minority interest in Savills IM Holdings Limited and commit capital of US$1 billion to Savills IM's investment strategies over the initial four years of the relationship. The transaction, which is conditional on various regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, is expected to complete in Q4, 2021.

Savills IM transacted over €2.5 billion in 2020

Savills Investment Management (Savills IM) transacted more than €2.5 billion globally in 2020, including c. €2.1 billion in Europe and c. €2457 million in Asia. Globally, transactions included nearly €1.7 billion of acquisitions and €833 million of disposals, resulting in a net investment of €842 million. The firm now manages approximately €21.2 billion (over USD 25 billion) in assets under management (AuM), a company record.

New leases

  • Kraków's Nowe Czyżyny centre will be home to a new brand from the sports segment. The Newbridge leasing department has signed a lease agreement with 4F. In recent weeks, Monnari, Triumph and W.Kruk have also debuted in the facility, while Empik is preparing to open a store.
  • ROCKWOOL is expanding its office space in the Nowy Rynek D building, developed by Skanska in Poznań. In 2020, a competence centre was established on an area of 6,000 sqm. Now, the company has decided to lease additional 900 sqm.
  • Primark has opened the doors of its fourth shop in Poland for the first time in Katowice's Silesia City Center. The store occupies more than 3,600 sqm of retail space.

New appointments

  • Tezenis brand has joined the tenants of Galeria Warmińska. This is the first showroom of this Italian brand in Olsztyn in Poland. The new boutique occupies an area of approximately 190 sqm.
  • Anna Trębicka will be responsible for the integration of all CBRE business lines in the Łódź region in Poland, as well as the development and proper functioning of the Łódź branch.
  • 108 Agency announced the appointment of Petr Jílek as the new Head of Property Management for the Czech Republic.
