Savills Investment Management has named Ilona Szafer as its new Head of Poland. Based in Warsaw, she will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s €1.7 billion portfolio in the country, which includes assets across the office, logistics and retail sectors.
Szafer has been with the company since its entry into the Polish market in 2017 and was previously Head of Asset Management Retail. In her new role, she will manage day-to-day operations and help implement investment, acquisition and asset management strategies in close cooperation with the firm’s European leadership.
Her previous experience includes roles at MARK Capital Management (formerly Meyer Bergman), Immofinanz and Trigranit. Over the past eight years, the firm has expanded its Polish portfolio to around 1.5 million sqm through a range of funds and mandates.
“I’m looking forward to leading a team of highly qualified professionals to deliver on our investment objectives and expand our portfolio,” said Ilona Szafer. “My priority will be to continue implementing a strategy rooted in selective acquisitions and active asset management.”
Kevin Aitchison, Head of Europe, added: “Ilona’s appointment marks the next step in our strategy in Poland, where we continue to see long-term opportunities in core sectors.”
