Forte Partners inaugurate new Bucharest office building

Its tenants include IBM and BCR. The first phase of the project was financed by UniCredit Bank. Bog’Art was the main construction contractor.

London is no longer the most expensive office location

Hong Kong has replaced London’s West End as the most expensive office market in which to accommodate staff, according to new research from Cushman & Wakefield. At a global level, the average annual cost per workstation rose by 1.5% over the last 12 months. Workplace density – the number of workers within a given space – has also increased in 2017.

Hungarian serviced offices operator enters Poland

NewWork, a serviced offices operator from Hungary, opened their first location in Poland. 3,200 sqm of flexible office space is now available in Warsaw's Wilanów in Wilanów Office Park. NewWork plans to continue their expansion in the Polish capital city and open another 10,000 sqm of serviced office space by the end of 2018.

Iulius opens new office building in Timişoara

The Iulius Company completed a new office building spanning on over 13,000 sqm in Openville Timişoara, the mixed-use project the company develops together with Atterbury Europe in the vicinity of Iulius Mall. United Business Center 1 (UBC 1) is the second building opened in Timişoara in 2017, after UBC 2 (18,000 sqm) opened in January. Following this latest achievement, the total office area delivered by Iulius on the local market over a single year now adds up to 31,000 sqm.

Savills to manage M7’s Polish portfolio

Savills will manage two buildings in Poznań and three buildings in Warsaw. The two office buildings in Poznan are RB House and Dwór Hamburski. Tenants include IPF Group and T-Mobile Polska. Two other office buildings are Jasna 24 and Wola Plaza in Warsaw. Tenants include i.a. Hochtief Poland. The third Warsaw building is a modern warehouse Airport House with office and social facilities. The total portfolio under management amounts to 25,000 sqm.

New leases

  • Jack & Jones has leased 310 sqm for a new store at Promenada Sibiu, owned by NEPI Rockcastle.
  • Palas Campus, Romania's largest office building, is set to host the new regional hub for BCR starting this autumn. The HQ will occupy a surface area of approximately 1,000 sqm and will serve clients from the local county and adjacent regions.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals has relocated its offices to Budapest-based Corvin Skypark. The deal covering 653 sqm was brokered by iO Partners.

New appointments

  • NEPI Rockcastle has nominated Zelda Roscherr as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Roscherr will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2026. André van der Veer, currently an Independent Non-Executive Director, will retire at the conclusion of the AGM and will not seek re-election.
  • Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
