Mindspace unveiled the results of a recent survey of employees from industries worldwide regarding shifting sentiment towards the workplace. Their latest report reveals that 9 out of 10 employees consider wellbeing facilities and offerings to be critical when choosing a workplace, and 82% expect support from their employers in achieving a work-life balance.

Mindspace, the flex office provider, has opened its second Polish location, Mindspace Skyliner at Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw. The new location spans 4,400 sqm and comprises private offices, common areas and boutique conference rooms.

The goal of the survey was to illuminate new work patterns and shed light on both current and aspirational employee dynamics. The results gave insights showing how the 9 to 5 job is a dying phenomenon and the hybrid model is here to stay - with employee flexibility being the key determinant in employee satisfaction.

Ana Nekhamkin, Vice President of Real Estate and Projects and Michał Kwinta, City Lead Poland at Mindspace talked to Property Forum about their second office in Warsaw, the development of the flex office sector and the potential effects of high inflation.

Flex office provider Mindspace secured a funding of $72 million. The investment round is intended to support the continuation of the company's growth and its further expansion in Europe, the United States and Israel. The round was led by Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd., More Provident Funds, Arkin Holdings and existing investors. Existing investors include Yoav Harlap, Kobi Rogovin and Globalworth.

Michał Kwinta, who has been with Mindspace since the inception of its Polish branch, has been promoted to City Lead Poland. In his new role he will be responsible for implementing Mindspace’s global strategy in Poland and for continuing the development of Mindspace’s network in Warsaw.

The experts agree that the current situation has prompted a number of companies to analyse their long-term lease obligations and redesign their strategies for further actions.

The market for flexible office space has been experiencing dynamic growth for several years. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot of things about our daily lives, also in the office sector, and thus has significantly affected tenant preferences. Many tenants have made or are considering a decision to move some of their branches or even headquarters to flexible spaces. The main reasons for the growing interest in flex spaces include the possibility of enlarging or reducing the space, no long-term commitments, and no need for investment outlays, according to an analysis by experts from Mindspace, a global operator of flexible workspaces.

Romania becomes the seventh country in which Mindspace offers its flexible workplace solutions, following a leasing agreement Globalworth has just signed. Mindspace will start operating in three Bucharest buildings, on approx. 12,000 sqm across Globalworth Campus, City Offices and Bucharest Tower Center. At the same time, Globalworth is investing $10 million in the company to support its ongoing growth.
