Griffin Capital Partners has announced two senior executive promotions as the company continues to grow its presence in the private equity and real estate markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Piotr Fijołek and Tomasz Mrowczyk, currently Senior Partners, have been promoted to the positions of Co-Managing Partners. The position is new in the structure and has been created especially to appreciate the contribution of the two managers to the growth of the company.
Griffin Capital Partners is the new name of the rebranded investment and asset manager Griffin Real Estate. By changing its name and revising its visual identity, the company wants to highlight the shift to private equity that has taken place in Griffin’s investment strategy over the last years.
Chariot Group, an investment platform managed by Griffin Real Estate on behalf of an investment consortium, has sold the M1 Marki shopping centre to Redefine Europe – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Redefine Properties Limited, a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The value of the deal remains undisclosed.
Kajima Europe together with Griffin Real Estate has announced the establishment of a joint venture to finance and develop renewable energy projects located in Poland. As part of the deal, the JV has acquired a 72% stake in PAD-RES, a leading developer in the clean energy asset space in Poland.
Griffin Real Estate and Madison International Realty announced a joint venture for their two first investments together in Germany. With Griffin’s development partner, Panattoni, the firms will develop two build-to-suit properties, with footprint area of over 7,000 sqm and 9,100 sqm respectively, that have been leased to Amazon on a 15-year lease with combined investment volume over €80 million.

It now occupies 3 200 sqm of A-class workspace. CBRE has advised Majorel Polska on concluding the lease contract.
