Eika Real Estate Fund acquires BIG office buildling in Kraków

Energy from solar farms flows to Warsaw UNIT

Ultimately, more than 10 MW of green energy from photovoltaic farms will power Warsaw UNIT, an office building developed and owned by Ghelamco. It is the first skyscraper in Poland entirely powered by green energy. Funding for the innovative remote farm project was provided by ESCOlight, and the contractor is Revolt Energy, part of the Blachotrapez Group.

Ghelamco sells hotel part of The Warsaw HUB complex

Ghelamco has announced closing the deal concerning the sale of a high-rise building at Rondo Daszyńskiego, which houses hotels of the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Express Inn chains. The buyer is the French fund Corum XL. This is the third and final building sold from Ghelamco’s portfolio in The Warsaw HUB. The price has not been disclosed.

Jarosław Zagórski to become new MD of Ghelamco Poland

Ghelamco has announced changes in the management board of its Polish companies. As of 14 April 2023, Paul Gheysens, owner and founder of Ghelamco, took over as President of the Management Board, and Jarosław Zagórski became the new Managing Director, replacing Jeroen van der Toolen in this position. The board was also expanded with the addition of new members: Michael Gheysens, Marie-Julie Gheysens, Chris Heggerick and Rafał Gierczak.

New leases

  • Lagardère Travel Retail has renewed its 2,300 sqm office lease for its HQ at the Bucharest-based Globalworth Campus, in a deal brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
  • Jack & Jones has leased 310 sqm for a new store at Promenada Sibiu, owned by NEPI Rockcastle.
  • Palas Campus, Romania's largest office building, is set to host the new regional hub for BCR starting this autumn. The HQ will occupy a surface area of approximately 1,000 sqm and will serve clients from the local county and adjacent regions.

New appointments

  • NEPI Rockcastle has nominated Zelda Roscherr as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Roscherr will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2026. André van der Veer, currently an Independent Non-Executive Director, will retire at the conclusion of the AGM and will not seek re-election.
  • Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
