Cordia has strengthened its leadership structure in Spain and Romania by appointing dedicated local CEOs to lead day-to-day operations in each market.

Spanish investment fund Buenavista Equity Partners, formerly GED Capital, has entered into a sale transaction with real estate developer Cordia, owned by Hungarian millionaires Péter and Gábor Futó. The deal involves land located in the Pipera, near northern Bucharest.

According to epiteszforum.hu, Futureal Group’s residential developer arm Cordia will convert the next, currently shell-stage phase of the Corvin Innovation Campus office complex into a residential building. Designed by Radius B+S Architects, the eight-storey building will house more than 200 apartments, some featuring ceiling heights over 3 metres, thanks to the existing structural design. The project will also include a three-level underground garage, 400 sqm of communal space for residents, and a 160 sqm rooftop terrace exclusively for residents.

Hungarian developer Cordia plans to add over 1,000 apartments this year, in Budapest, with three-quarters of this supply hitting the market in the first quarter alone. This expansion will increase the availability of new homes in the city by 20% compared to the end-of-year stock.

Cordia Polska Finance, a member of the Cordia Group, has completed its second bond issue on the Catalyst platform of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE).  The company placed bonds totalling PLN 120.4 million, with a maturity of 3.5 years and a variable interest rate.

Futureal Group’s subsidiary, Cordia Zrt. has kicked off its new mega project called Marina City, aiming to build 2,500 apartments, recreational facilities and several amenities on a former industrial site at the river Danube. The HUF 400 billion (€1 billion) project is a landmark development in the northern part of the Hungarian capital.

In 2023, Cordia International sold its 10,000th apartment, a result of nearly two decades of operation. The Hungarian property developer is now planning a major new urban regeneration project in Budapest.

Property developer Cordia Romania, part of Futureal group, says it has obtained the occupancy permit for the second phase of Parcului20, its residential complex based in northern Bucharest. 

This is the first luxurious residential real estate project of the Hungarian developer in Spain. At the same time, the company announced a second project on the Costa del Sol.

The Hungarian property developer is putting 500 more homes up for sale in the centre and the green belt of the capital.
