Futureal’s Budapest One office park has achieved another major milestone in its development, as the second and third phases of the complex have reached their highest point. Budapest One will house both Vodafone's new headquarters and BT's regional service centre.

IWG has announced the opening of a brand-new centre in the Szervita Square Building in Budapest. The centre, which opened last month, is operating under the Signature brand, which provides workspaces in the most sought-after locations in the world.

Hungarian developer Futureal will open the food court of the Etele Plaza shopping centre in Budapest this September. UK-based property investor Resolution Property, a key partner of leading Chinese investment firm Fosun, has acquired its third office building in Budapest. The 16,270 sqm BC 140 building, located on the Váci Road office corridor, has been sold by German asset management company DWS.

In the 11 shopping streets under the umbrella of the Shopping Street Management (BUM), some 90% of businesses survived the coronavirus pandemic, and the number of stores for sale or rent is decreasing in more and more places, BUM told Hungarian news wire MTI based on its survey carried out at the beginning of May.

Hungarian state-owned NIPÜF Group has completed another sales transaction with the sale of a nearly 3 ha plot in the Inpark Martonvásár industrial park, located southwest of Budapest. A Hungarian chemical company will build a 4,000 sqm production hall on the property by 2022.

Deutsche Hospitality has opened its first IntercityHotel in Budapest. The 312-room hotel, realised by the Hamburg-based B&L Group, will be Deutsche Hospitality's first property in Hungary. Located right next to Keleti Railway Station, it will also feature resplendent latest generation IntercityHotel interior design by the Milan-based architect Matteo Thun.

EuroCenter owner and developer Wing has selected Bernecker Kft. to carry out general contractor tasks for the modernisation of the 46,000 sqm shopping centre located in the northern Buda area. The shopping centre has closed for the duration of the renovations and is scheduled to reopen in spring 2022, boasting a modern appearance and ready to meet 21st-century customer demands. Construction work begins in late April.

The interior of the Campona shopping centre in South Buda, owned by CPI Property Group,  will be completely rebuilt by the end of 2021.

The Hungarian residential rental property market continues to be a mixed bag based on current asking prices, according to the latest monthly survey of real estate portal ingatlan.com, which presents the latest joint rent index of ingatlan.com and the Central Statistical Office (KSH) for March and summarises the supply and average rent as of the end of April based on 40,000 ads.
