Stefan de Goeij, Partner and Head of Sustainability & ESG for CEE and the Nordics at Cushman & Wakefield, has been appointed Chair of the European World Regional Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He will also serve as a Member of the Global Members Committee.
In this role, de Goeij will lead RICS' strategic agenda across Europe and represent the region at a global level, helping shape the direction of the profession and strengthening collaboration across markets. For the real estate sector, this position plays a role in aligning European market priorities with global standards and ensuring that key topics such as sustainability, regulation and professional practice are addressed consistently across regions.
"Taking on these roles in the current environment is both challenging and exciting, and I look forward to working closely with colleagues to support the evolving agenda and represent RICS members across Europe," de Goeij said.

De Goeij is based in Prague and has more than 25 years of experience in real estate. He is a recognised expert in sustainability and ESG strategies, specialising in integrating sustainability into property management and helping clients align their portfolios with evolving regulatory, occupier and investor requirements.
