Skanska invests about €65 million in the first phase of the new office complex H2Offices located in Budapest, Hungary. It will offer a total leasable area of about 26,000 square meters and is designed to obtain WELL and LEED certifications.

Skanska started the development of H2Offices office complex, which is the company’s tenth project in Hungary. Located on the former site of Budapest Waterworks and building on this heritage, the complex will consist of 3 buildings with a total leasable area of 65 000 sqm. The first building comprises eight floors above the ground and three underground parking levels. The project is situated in the 13th district of Budapest at the junction of Váci and Dózsa György roads, in the heart of the Váci Road office corridor.

Designed by Arrow Architects from Denmark, the development will offer a mix of futureproof urban infrastructure, sustainable and innovative solutions as well as a landscaped placemaking which will be conceptually connected in with the heritage of the plot.

Bicycle storage, lockers and showers will be available for those arriving by bike, and electric car chargers will be provided for electric car users. The complex will house retail units and other amenities for the convenience of building users and residents of the surrounding area.

The project is aiming for WELL and LEED Platinum certifications. Construction works have started and the building is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2022.
