Rhenus Logistics has extended a contract and expanded its warehouse space at Mapletree Park Szczecin. The company now occupies ca. 52,000 sqm from ca. 102,000 sqm available space. Colliers International advised the tenant in the lease extension process.

Rhenus Logistics S.A. part of the Rhenus Group is a logistics service provider with global business operations, based in more than 750 locations worldwide. The company has been active on the Polish market since 1995 and offers services within the range of warehousing solutions, freight logistics, port services, customs services, air and ocean transport. Its portfolio also includes high-tech logistics, digitization, document archiving and recycling services.

Mapletree is a leading real estate development, investment, capital and property management company headquartered in Singapore, with 14 offices all over the world, including Poland. Since 2018 it is the owner of Mapletree Park Szczecin, a modern logistic centre based in Goleniów. The warehouse space, consisting of 2 buildings, is located near the S3 highway, 35 km from Szczecin city centre and 40 km from the German border.

“Despite the pandemic, the logistics industry especially in the e-commerce sector is doing very well. We are pleased that as Rhenus Logistics we are still developing dynamically and were in need to increase the leased warehouse space to service our client”, says Sławomir Kossakowski, Board Member at Rhenus Logistics S.A.

“Szczecin is one of the most attractive locations for e-commerce warehouse tenants in the CEE due to its proximity to German and Scandinavian markets. Mapletree Park Szczecin, located close to the international airport Szczecin Goleniów and the seaport, is a good choice for clients from the logistics sector, also because of well-developed road infrastructure in this region,” says Paweł Nosal, Associate Director, Logistics and Industrial Agency, Colliers International.
