Trei develops retail park in the Czech Republic

Trei Real Estate GmbH, a property developer and property asset holder of residential and retail real estate with activities across Europe, develops its sixth retail park of the Vendo Park brand in the Czech Republic. The property is located in the small town of Mnichovo Hradiste, which lies around one hour’s drive north-east of Prague. The total investment costs add up to €2.6 million and the completion is scheduled for Q2 2020. The company plans to keep the asset in its portfolio long-term.

Prague’s high street among the world’s priciest

The Czech Republic made it to the Top 20 countries ranked by the most expensive retail street for the second time in Cushman & Wakefield’s annual Main Streets Across the World 2019 chart. It climbed to No.18 thanks to Na Příkopě, a street where the prime rental value is €235 per sqm per month. The Czech Republic is the only country in the Central and Eastern European region to make it to the Top 20 this year (it appeared in the chart last year for the first time ever), confirming its reigning position on the Central European market.

Multi to refurbish Budapest shopping centre

Multi Hungary announced its extensive refurbishment plans for Allee shopping centre in Buda, in the most densely populated district of Budapest. Multi will upgrade and renovate the 46,700 sqm shopping centre, while enhancing the tenant mix, interior and exterior design and customer services. Multi will start the execution phase in the second quarter of 2020 and expects to complete most of the work still in 2020.

Leisure and entertainment attract CEE consumers to shopping centres

According to the new CEE research from Colliers International, which looks at entertainment sector in 13 CEE countries, the leisure offer in shopping centres is dominated by multiplex cinemas and fitness clubs, but there are also other concepts that are being added to the mix. New leases

  • K-Flex Group, the maker of elastomeric insulation, has leased 1,200 sqm in SpacePlus Chitila, owned by Speedwell. The lease deal was brokered by Esop Consulting.
  • TriGranit announced the signing of a new lease agreement with the medical centre enel-med for service space in the Signum Work Station building in Warsaw. Under the agreement, which includes both an extension of the existing lease and a more than threefold expansion of the leased area, the medical provider will occupy approximately 2,200 sqm of modern space on the ground floor of the building at ul. Domaniewska 49 in the Mokotów district. In December 2024, Signum Work Station was acquired by DRFG with the strategic support of TriGranit.
  • In June this year, the Polish branch of the Korean bank Industrial Bank of Korea will move into the 31st floor of the Warsaw Financial Center building. ITRA Polska advised the tenant in the process of leasing the office with an area of almost 950 sqm.

New appointments

  • Ewa Nowak, a commercial property valuer, has joined the Valuation Department of international real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska as Senior Associate.
  • Maciej Wieczorkiewicz is joining the Avison Young Technical Advisory team in Poland. Maciej is an experienced engineer with many years of experience in managing fit-out projects and investments in the commercial property sector. During his career development, he has worked for companies such as Made In Terior, TECAS Fitout and Colliers Define.
  • Tomáš Fabian has taken on the responsibility of leading the Czech commercial development team at Skanska as Executive Vice President Operations Czech Republic, while still keeping the current responsibilities as Executive Vice President Legal Counsel (CEE).
