A new cafe has opened at 58 Krochmalna Street in Warsaw: the Panattoni Cafe. This is the first project of its kind to be opened by warehouse developer Panattoni.

KG Group opens another large Atut chain centre in Kraków. This time it will be two retail parks with a total area of more than 20,000 sqm GLA, which will operate under the common name Atut Galicyjska.

Following the pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Cushman & Wakefield has brought back the Main Streets Across the World report, ranking 47 countries by headline rents in best-in-class urban locations in each of them. The Czech Republic is newly represented by Prague’s Pařížská Street, which has replaced Na Příkopě as the country’s most expensive street. Among the other most expensive main streets of the world, Pařížská ranks 17th (Na Příkopě ranked 18th in 2019) and comes first in the CEE region. As compared by the survey, the highest prime rent achieved in Pařížská as of this year’s third quarter amounts to €2,719 per square metre per year, or approximately €227 per square metre a month.

Mitiska REIM has announced the opening of a new retail centre development in the Polish city of Kołobrzeg. Developed in a joint venture with local partner Karuzela Holding and designed to achieve a “Very Good” score on the BREEAM in-use scale, this is the third retail development project opened by Mitiska REIM and Karuzela Holding in Poland this year. Financing for the new retail centre was provided by AION and mBank.

Grocery retailer Kaufland has inaugurated in Bucharest a new hypermarket spanning 5,000 sqm. Following the latest opening, the European network of the retailer climbed to 1,500 units.

With a rent level of €53/sqm/month on Calea Victoriei, the main retail street of the city, Bucharest remains in the top 50 cities analyzed worldwide and in position 46 out of 53 in the EMEA ranking, just behind Warsaw, according to a report by real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Hungarian property investor Indotek Group is extending its facelift program to its international retail portfolio, with the renewal of the nearly 50,000 sqm Promenada Mall in Romania. The company is carrying out the modernization of the shopping centre in Târgu Mureș in two phases. 

Industrial park developer Cometex, owned by Romanian retailer Altex România, has sold the Bucovina shopping centre in Suceava to local entrepreneur Andrei Mandachi in a transaction valued at €7 million. 

Romanian developer Forty Management has sold commercial spaces covering 1,200 sqm in three Bucharest-based projects for €3.3 million, excluding VAT.

Property developer and investor Prime Kapital has unveiled plans for an urban regeneration project in Cluj-Napoca, on a land plot of 17.1 hectares that previously hosted an industrial platform.
