Construction has been completed on REINO IO Piotrków BTS, a cross-dock transshipment centre of nearly 27,000 sqm in Piotrków Trybunalski, central Poland. The investor is Polish Logistics LLP (UK), managed by REINO IO Logistics. Kajima Poland handled design and general contracting under a design-and-build contract, with financing provided by BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A. under a Green Loan structure compliant with LMA Green Loan Principles.

The facility sits on a plot of approximately 154,000 sqm on Logistyczna Street, with access to the A1 motorway, the S8 expressway and National Road 74. The transshipment area and warehouse, designed to accommodate an automated sorting system, cover a combined 25,900 sqm, complemented by a two-storey office section of 1,682 sqm. External paved surfaces, including manoeuvring yards, roads and parking areas, cover approximately 96,000 sqm, with around 400 parking spaces, including nearly 200 for heavy goods vehicles. The facility is designed to achieve BREEAM certification at the Excellent level and includes a 450 kWp rooftop photovoltaic installation, a hybrid heating system and four electric vehicle charging points.

"During the construction of REINO IO Piotrków BTS, which we delivered under a design-and-build contract, we drew on our long-standing experience in translating the operational requirements of the client and tenant into an efficiently operating logistics facility. Our role was not only to construct a logistics and distribution facility, but also to create a solution that will support the efficiency of the tenant's logistics processes from day one," said Maciej Runkiewicz, President of Kajima Poland.

"REINO IO Piotrków BTS is the first facility that REINO IO Logistics has delivered directly within a park under our management, from the initial concept through to completion. Together with Kajima Poland, we have created a facility precisely tailored to the tenant's complex operational requirements," said Dorota Latkowska-Diniejko, President of REINO IO Logistics.

The project is the first development delivered directly by REINO IO Logistics within its logistics park in Piotrków Trybunalski and expands the Polish Logistics LLP platform, which manages nearly 400,000 sqm across locations including Poznań, Sosnowiec, Rzeszów, Łódź and Bielsko-Biała. Other parties involved included Addleshaw Goddard as legal adviser and Gleeds Polska as technical supervisor.
