Panattoni has unveiled its latest location in Lower Silesia – by starting work on the construction of Panattoni Park Głogów, which will ultimately cover more than 20 ha with 111,000 sqm of built-up space. The project, which is to be BREEAM certified at the ‘Excellent’ level, has been designed to allow tenants to significantly reduce their CO2 emissions and energy consumption. The first tenant of the park is to be international logistics operator FM Logistic, which will occupy almost 35,000 sqm and is going to start operations in May 2022.

Głogów has been emerging as the latest important location on Lower Silesia’s business map, a process that is being driven by Panattoni, which is now starting the construction of a complex on a 20 ha site in the town. Panattoni Park Głogów will comprise two buildings, the first of which, with an area of 78,000 sqm, is scheduled to come into use as early as May 2022. The investment is to be BREEAM certified for sustainability at the ‘Excellent’ level, in accordance with Panattoni’s recently raised standard for its new projects. Its environmental solutions will enable significant savings to be made through reduced water and energy consumption as well as significant reductions in CO2 emissions. Tenants will also benefit from the park’s excellent location in close proximity to the German border.

“We have already built almost 1.5 million sqm of space in Lower Silesia, but the region continues to discover incredible new potential. When one location seems already fully developed, another perfectly located one emerges that is ideal for the international activities of our clients, says Damian Kowalczyk, development director at Panattoni. “A perfect example of this is Głogów, which has just been awarded 2nd place in the ‘Business Stars of Lower Silesia Economic Survey 2021’ in the Most Business-Friendly Local Authority category. The investment-friendly attitude of the local authorities is just what the city needs to achieve its potential. With the addition of Panattoni’s modern and environmentally-friendly space, it is the latest town to become an attractive location for the leaders of a wide range of industries – such as FM Logistic, our first tenant,” he adds.

FM Logistic, a logistics operator operating on 3 continents and in 14 countries, hasleased 34,800 sqm at Panattoni Park Głogów. The company is to start logistics operations from the facility in May 2022, when it will be able to benefit from the range of green solutions it offers for reducing CO2 emissions as well as energy and water consumption. The office space in the park is also being prepared in line with the highest market standards. The developer will also carry out an analysis to ensure that each room has the appropriate acoustics, thermal comfort and access to daylight. FM Logistic has so far been highly appreciative of its cooperation with Panattoni and the developer’s experience when it comes to sustainable projects, as well as the excellent location of the Głogów park, which will enable efficient transportation, both to locations in Poland and in Western and Southern Europe.

“Panattoni’s new project is the perfect fit for FM Logistic’s strategic plans and the needs of our clients,” explains Tomasz Oczkowski, the Central Europe Commercial Director of FM Logistic, who adds: “In the spring of 2022, this is where we will be starting up the logistics service for a B2C e-commerce channel to several European markets for a new client. With the growing interest and demand for locating such operations in our country, this location offers superb opportunities for rapid business growth. The green solutions of the park are undoubtedly among its advantages. Sustainable development forms not only an important aspect of FM Logistic’s strategic goals, but also of customers’ requirements. It is increasingly often the case that, even in the early stages of a project, they have specific requirements related to this.”

Panattoni Park Głogów will have significant international potential. It is located approx. 110 km from the Polish–German border and at a similar distance from Poland’s southern border with the Czech Republic. The park is also just 10 km from the S3 road – the main transport corridor in the region connecting Głogów with Zielona Góra and Szczecin, as well as providing convenient access to the A4 motorway to the south and the A2 motorway to the north. Thanks to the transport infrastructure connected to the local Municipal Investment Zone, tenants of the complex will also have easy access to rail transport.
