Golub GetHouse has signed the purchase agreement of the property located at Jagiellońska Street 82 in the Warsaw district of Praga-Północ. The investment plot with a total area of 11,533 sqm is located opposite the Kozminski University. In the first stage of the project, a modern student house with cca. 430 beds and with student amenities will be constructed. The investment will be covered by the Golub GetHouse Property Fund II FIZ and in partnership with CA Ventures company, specializing in the construction of student houses in the USA.

The new investment by Golub GetHouse is located right on a major thoroughfare in this part of Warsaw, near the transportation hub of the Starzyński Roundabout. The location offers proximity to the Kozminski University and the entertainment centre Hulakula. At first, the building will house a modern student house with cca. 430 beds. With the future residents’ comfort in mind, the building will offer a vast array of amenities including a gym, study rooms, computer centre, lounge, round-the-clock reception, a dedicated parking lot, cafes and restaurants.

Czarek Jarząbek, Founder and President of the Management Board of Golub GetHouse, said: ‘The beginning of 2018 has been extremely busy for our company. A few weeks ago, we finalized the purchase of a prestigious plot in Warsaw’s Wola district, with a plan to erect a high-rise building with apartments for rent, Liberty Tower. The next step we had planned was to expand our portfolio of investment plots. We are extremely proud to have now achieved this goal. On the plot at Jagiellońska Street 82, we are going to build the first state-of-the-art student house in our Warsaw portfolio. We are confident this will turn out to be a great success. We absolutely believe in the development of this segment of the property market. For this reason, we have created a special partnership with CA Ventures company based in Chicago, which has extensive experience in building and managing of student houses. Our partner has built facilities offering over 10,000 beds in all major American academic cities.

The student house in Praga-Północ will be the second investment by Golub GetHouse in this market segment in Poland. The first one is currently under construction on Romanowicza St in the district of Zabłocie in Kraków. The student housing project will be located in the renovated building of the former electronics factory, Telpod. The building will be altered to meet the requirements of a modern high-standard student house with ca 600 beds. The Kraków investment is scheduled for delivery in the academic year 2019/2020.

The plot acquisition at Jagiellońska St 82 in Warsaw was completed by Golub GetHouse with advisory services provided by LSW Leśnodorski Ślusarek i Wspólnicy. Construction is scheduled to begin in the 4th quarter of 2018, while work is currently in progress on the architectural design.
