NEPI Rockcastle a new 54.1 MW greenfield photovoltaic park in Chișineu-Criș, Arad County, as part of an investment program worth €110 million.
Construction of the solar park kicked off in January 2025 and is anticipated to be connected to the grid in Q4 2025.
This facility will contribute approximately a third of NEPI Rockcastle's total 159 MW installed photovoltaic capacity across 28 properties and multiple greenfield developments. The project represents the largest green energy investment by a non-energy sector corporate in the CEE.
The project is projected to generate around 70,171 MWh of clean electricity annually, capable of powering approximately 29,300 Romanian homes and mitigating around 21,100 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
Andrei Radu, Group Development Director at NEPI Rockcastle, stated: “NEPI Rockcastle’s green energy programme is advancing through three major stages, reflecting our long-term commitment to sustainability and decarbonisation efforts.”
The development is delivered through SOLPOWER Energy and engineered by EPC partner Enevo Group. The panels were delivered by LONGi.
