Multi Poland has been appointed by Union Investment to provide property management services for two shopping centres in Poland, Ferio Konin in Konin and Sarni Stok in Bielsko-Biała, as of 1 October 2019. The agreements include full centre management, leasing and marketing.

Mr. Lars Richter, Head of Asset Management Retail at Union Investment, said: “The two shopping centres Ferio Konin in Konin and Sarni Stok in Bielsko-Biała are both attractive retail properties, with their own specific demands on property management. We are confident that Multi Poland, with its many years of international experience and expertise, will contribute to the success of our centres with active management and continuous, forward-looking optimisation.”

Antoine Mocachen, Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe at Multi Corporation, says: “We are very pleased to assume the centre management of Ferio Konin and Sarni Stok shopping centres, further strengthening both Multi’s position in Poland and our partnership with Union since the assumption of the management of 3Stawy shopping centre in Katowice in early 2019. We are continuing our successful expansion in the field of property management for institutional investors and are focused on and committed to our goal to become the best full-service centre management service provider in Europe and Turkey”.

Ferio Konin is the dominant shopping centre in the region, with a catchment area of over 360,000 people in and around the city of Konin in Central Poland. Opened in 2008, the shopping centre comprises 36,000 sqm of retail space and 74 shops, offering an international tenant mix covering the full retail spectrum. Anchor tenants include H&M, C&A, supermarket Intermarché, DIY Castorama, Media Markt and Sports Direct. Thanks to the wide range of products and services, as well as the excellent location just off the Warsaw-Berlin motorway, the centre boasts unrivalled performance and turnover comparable to much larger cities. Ferio Konin offers around 1,100 parking spaces and has been awarded a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating.

Sarni Stok is an established shopping centre, located in Bielsko-Biała, a city in the Silesia region of Poland. It has a catchment area of some 400,000 people with above-average purchasing power. The centre comprises over 30,000 sqm of retail space and 73 retail outlets, offering a wide range of fashion brands, health and beauty products and electrical items. The anchor tenants include Carrefour, Media Markt, TK Maxx, H&M, New Yorker, Reserved, JULA and Rossmann and the centre has created special zones for children. Sarni Stok offers 1,240 free parking spaces and benefits from outstanding transport links. Numerous public bus services run immediately outside the property.

Multi now manages a total of seven shopping centres in Poland. These include the multifunctional Forum Gdansk shopping and entertainment centre opened last year, Magnolia Park shopping centre in Wroclaw, the largest shopping, entertainment and recreation centre in Lower Silesia, plus family-oriented shopping centre Galeria Pestka in Poznań.
