The Matadorka Living residential project in Petržalka has secured project financing from Tatra banka, reaching a key milestone in its development.
The financing agreement covers the construction of the project, which is being developed on the site of the former Matador industrial complex. Future homebuyers will continue to have access to mortgage financing through the project's network of partner banks.
The development combines a new residential district with the regeneration of a brownfield site and will include the partial restoration of the historic Smaltovňa Hall.
"Securing a financing bank is one of the most important milestones for any development project. We are pleased that Tatra banka has become the financial partner for Matadorka Living. We see this as confirmation of the project's quality, its economic viability and the credibility of our plans. We are also delighted to be working with a partner that is one of the leaders of the Slovak banking sector," said Oliver Kríž, Project Manager of Matadorka Living.
The developer has also appointed Skanska as the project's general contractor.
Once completed, Matadorka Living will deliver hundreds of apartments, public spaces and amenities as part of the redevelopment of the former industrial area.
