Marriott International has signed an agreement with Valdarke d.o.o. to bring an Autograph Collection resort to the island of Cres in Croatia.
Expected to open in the second quarter of 2024, the new-build Autograph Collection property in the island of Cres is anticipated to offer 49 rooms and suites, two outdoor pools, a beach area with a bar, various dining options, and a spa.

This deal reinforces the demand we’re seeing for international hotel brands in the region as well as the development of Marriott Bonvoy’s resort properties in Croatia. To date, Marriott International’s portfolio in Croatia encompasses five properties in Croatia’s key tourism and business destinations: Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera, Le Méridien, Lav, Split, AC by Marriott Hotel, Split as well as the Westin Hotel and Sheraton Hotel in Zagreb. Further openings include Opatija Marriott Hotel estimated to welcome guests in 2025 and Autograph Collection property in Komiza in 2026.
