Construction of the new Student Depot student housing block in Gdańsk is going faster than planned despite the challenges created by the global COVID-19 pandemic, owner Kajima reports. The facility is due to be complete in the summer, ready to welcome its first students in September 2020.

The eight-story building will provide a new community for over 350 students, with the majority housed in single room studio bedrooms with their own private kitchenette and bathroom. The dormitory also has a number of shared and premium mezzanine rooms.

Student Depot will provide a variety of communal spaces for students to socialise and relax in, as well as a gym, quiet study areas, bike storage and laundry facilities.  All students will benefit from free fast WiFi, and the on-site staff and 24/7 security provide for a safe and secure environment.

Student Depot Gdansk is located in Przymorze, beside an Auchan supermarket, a 10-minute walk from the University of Gdańsk and 2 km from the beach.

Student Depot, owned by Kajima in partnership with Griffin Real Estate, is the largest private student housing operator and developer in Poland. It currently operates over 2,000 beds across Poland in Warsaw, Poznan, Lublin, Wroclaw and Lodz, with a further 360 beds under construction in Gdansk and more dormitories due to be announced. The General Contractor for Gdansk is Mota-Engil.
