JRD Land, a division of JRD Group, has appointed a new CEO, Alexandra Tomášková, on 1 February 2022. The company has a market value of signed acquisition contracts of CZK 2.2 billion. It now wants to focus on the rapid development of a portfolio of building land and larger land units for future sustainable construction. The development company JRD Development, a member of the JRD Group, is expected to deliver building plots worth up to CZK 15 billion by 2025, the company announced in the press release.

Alexandra Tomášková, who previously worked in senior management positions at Red Group, Skanska Property Czech Republic and JLL, will replace Martin Svoboda. He will continue to serve as CEO of JRD Development. As a member of the JRD Group management, he will focus more intensively on the development and growth of the entire group too.

The main objectives of the JRD Land division include the acquisition of building land and its subsequent appreciation. In her new position, Alexandra Tomášková will capitalize on the extensive experience she gained during her tenure in the management of the major real estate development and consulting companies. In Skanska's commercial division, she was responsible for managing the marketing and leasing of projects known for their emphasis on sustainability, quality architecture, design and a pleasant working environment, such as City Green Court, Corso Court, Five, Visionary and Parkview. In addition, since 2018, she has led the entire Czech and later Hungarian division. At real estate consultancy JLL, she was responsible for the office sector: leasing, workplace strategy, project management and ESG consulting. Her job there also included cooperation with the Capital Markets Department in the area of the office market services and with other teams in the JLL structure.

"I see my involvement with JRD Land as an opportunity to move forward in my professional development while working with true industry professionals. I have spent a large part of my professional life working in the field of sustainable property development, so the offer from JRD Land immediately appealed to me. The whole JRD Group is very closely linked to sustainable construction, renewable energy and green investments. As I will also be working on opportunities in the commercial sector, I believe that my experience and know-how will be fully applied here," says Alexandra Tomášková.

Alexandra Tomášková is a graduate of Silesian University in Opava, where she studied English Philology. She speaks English, French and German. Her interests include recreational sports (running, skiing, yoga) and travelling.
