During the JLL 12th Charity Real Estate Industry Beach Volleyball Tournament 2023 at the Monta Beach Volley Club in Warsaw, a record number of 58 teams, representatives of the real estate industry and related industries, competed in the tournament. In the finals, the Muniak team claimed victory, beating the D&D DEVCO team, which took second place. The last place on the podium went to the Skanska team. The MVP award in the women's category went to player number 12 of the Panattoni team, which defeated the JLL team in a thrilling clash in the preliminaries to the quarterfinals. The player's serve ended a fierce battle for the advantage (with a score of 25:23 bringing an end to the efforts of the JLL team, which last year stood on the podium, taking second place. On the other hand, the MVP award in the men's category went to player number 2 from the Skanska team, who showed incredible preparation for the tournament and a brave attitude until the very end.

Commentators at the tournament were Mariusz Korpoliński - a long-time JLL tournament host - and Łukasz Kadziewicz - a commentator for Przeglad Sportowy Onet.pl and former representative of the Polish national volleyball team. In addition, Lech Kurnicki, Director of the Marketing, Sales and Event Organization Division of the Polish Volleyball Federation, appeared on stage during the award ceremony.

For years, the JLL tournament has brought together companies in the industry, giving them the opportunity to compete in sporting tournaments and unite in a common, worthy charitable cause.

The tournament along with the auction raised the amount of PLN 810,000, which will be entirely allocated to the construction of the third Ronald McDonald House in Poland at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. The Foundation's team in its zone during the tournament, in addition to cheering, spread awareness of what Ronald McDonald Houses are all about.

"As the organizer of the event, we extend special congratulations to the winners who stood on the podium of the tournament, and at the same time thank all the participants for their tremendous commitment to the games, as well as joining in the pursuit of our common goal. Supporting the construction of the third Ronald McDonald House in Poland, as the charitable goal of this year's tournament, allows us to continue the long-standing tradition of joint action of the real estate industry for the benefit of those in need,” comments Mateusz Bonca, CEO of JLL Poland.

The Ronald McDonald House at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw will become a safe oasis for families who have to travel far from home to get the best medical care for their children at a hospital that is unique on the map of Poland. The first Ronald McDonald House was established in 2015 at the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. The second House has been helping patients of the Children's Clinical Hospital UCK WUM in Warsaw since June 2021. During this time, both Houses have taken care of more than 80,000 overnight stays for families from all over the country and beyond.

"When the Ronald McDonald House is built next to the hospital - a special Home for families of child patients coming from far away for treatment - everything changes. Thanks to the Home, the whole family can be together and live within reach of a hospitalized child. Homes give space to the child's loved ones, a sense of normalcy and security, including financially, because they help free of charge. Thank you on behalf of the entire Foundation for joining "For the family to be together" and helping public pediatric medicine. JLL and the real estate industry are building the third Polish Home with us,” comments Katarzyna Rodziewicz, President of the Foundation and Executive Director.

The Foundation's mission "For the family to be together" has focused for 21 years on the idea of Family-Centered Care, which means caring for the entire family of the child being treated. Each of the Foundation's programs takes into account the role of proximity, a sense of security and emotional bonding of the child patient's family because loved ones play a very important role in the healing process. "For the family to be together" means the presence of a parent during the child's stay in the hospital, taking into account the needs of adults accompanying the toddler in the ward, caring for healthy siblings, grandmother and grandfather, and the possibility of a normal life during the long process of hospitalization.
