by Property Forum | Residential

Duna House has released its monthly transaction estimate, showing that there were 10,815 residential property transactions in Hungary in January 2022. Although this corresponds to a 3.3% decline over the same month of 2021, it is in the same league as the first months of the years between 2017 and 2019.

Duna House estimates that 10,815 residential property transactions were realised in January 2022, which marks a decline of 3% over January 2021, but a 9% growth over the same month of 2020.

Looking at the trends of previous years, the first month of 2022 was a completely average month for real estate activity. According to Duna House's experts, the year is off to a strong start, with demand expected to pick up further in February and March, leading to an increase in the number of sales.
