Industrial developer HelloParks has announced that all of its warehouse buildings in Hungary comply with the stringent requirements of the EU Taxonomy, making it the sole recipient of this recognition in the country to date.

In addition, HelloParks has expanded its BREEAM-certified portfolio by 188,000 sqm since early 2025, with four of its warehouses earning the Outstanding rating in the New Construction category. This brings the company's total to 352,000 sqm of warehouses certified BREEAM New Construction Outstanding or Excellent.

"Our firm goal is to make sustainability a central consideration in Hungarian industrial property development and to encourage others to follow this path," stated Anna Bencze, Head of Sustainability at HelloParks. "Our buildings stand out not only for their energy efficiency but also for the fact that we reduce environmental impact starting from material sourcing—something that’s becoming more and more important for our tenants and partners every year."

HelloParks' sustainability strategy is evident from the construction phase, with over 85% of construction waste selectively collected and recycled. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality in the industrial sector by 2035, with a detailed roadmap to support this ambition. As of 2025, the company is covering the entire electricity demand of its parks from renewable sources, meeting a 2028 target ahead of schedule.
