Goodman Group, an owner, developer and manager of industrial real estate, has opened the 22,200 sqm expansion of its Gyál Logistics Centre. One unit is already pre-leased and the remaining two units are available for immediate lease. The total leasable area has nearly doubled to 44,735 sqm.  


The 22,200 sqm facility was built on a speculative basis and delivered in just a few months. The property has been designed to cater to the needs of both small businesses and large companies, and the Class A warehouse can be adapted to meet customers’ operational needs. Two units, with modules starting from 3,000 sqm, are available for immediate lease. Goodman already pre-leased 4,750 sqm to ADR Logistics Kft., a third-party logistics service provider. 
 
Goodman Gyál Logistics Centre is located 22 kilometres from the centre of Budapest. The property sits at the junction of the M5 highway and the M0 ring road and is situated only 18 kilometres from Liszt Ferenc International Airport.

“With this development we took a further step towards expanding our portfolio in Hungary. The pre-lease contract is sound proof that there is strong demand for high-quality logistics space in the Budapest region. The ready-to-let space now available in Gyál will enable us to respond to that demand,” said István Kerekes, Goodman Country Manager for Hungary. “We will continue to explore new opportunities to expand our portfolio and to become the preferred logistics real estate partner in Hungary.” 
 
With the new development, the logistics centre in Gyál will now total 44,735 sqm. The first phase of the property, totalling 22,535 sqm, was completed in 2006 and is fully leased to HOPI Hungaria Logisztikai Kft. The property is owned by Goodman’s flagship European real estate investment vehicle, Goodman European Partnership (GEP).

New appointments

  • Romanian office developer Genesis Property has appointed Cătălin Niculiță as Leasing Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has held leadership roles at real estate companies such as Atenor, collaborating with major office tenants in the banking, telecom, and IT sectors.
  • Krzysztof Wróblewski (MRICS) has been named Head of Portfolio Management CEE at Peakside Capital Advisors, responsible for overseeing investments and managing the real estate portfolio. He succeeds Christopher Smith in this role.
  • Garbe Industrial is reorganising its senior leadership team. CEO Christopher Garbe will now focus on strategic orientation and international activities. Jan Philipp Daun assumes leadership of the Development division alongside his existing Investment and Joint Venture responsibilities. Andrea Agrusow expands her remit to include Portfolio Management while retaining control of Commercial and Real Estate Management. Additionally, Michael Marcinek and Maik Zeranski will now jointly head the restructured Development unit as Management Board Members, succeeding Adrian Zellner.
