Danish audio and communications manufacturer GN Group is to become a tenant at Panattoni Business Park Kladno, an industrial zone developed on a brownfield site formerly occupied by the Poldi Kladno steelworks. GN will occupy more than 30,000 sqm in total, of which approximately 28,000 sqm will be operational space and 2,000 sqm will serve as office accommodation. The build-to-suit project is being developed by Panattoni and financed by investment group RSJ, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.

GN Group, whose brands include Jabra and SteelSeries, says the new facility is designed with future automation and artificial intelligence in mind. "Kladno represents much more than a relocation of operations. It is an opportunity to redefine the way we work. By designing the site to accommodate future automation, artificial intelligence and advanced operational practices, we are creating a solid foundation for innovation, higher productivity and further growth," said Stefan Bergfors, chief operating officer of GN Group. Louise Juul Østergaard, head of regional operations at GN Group, added: "We are very pleased to open a new centre in Kladno. The location was chosen carefully and we look forward to becoming part of the local industrial community and bringing new life to this site."

The new building will be equipped with heat pumps and is targeting a high rating under the BREEAM New Construction sustainability certification scheme, in line with Panattoni's broader strategy of improving energy efficiency and reducing operational emissions. The park is situated 30 km from Prague, with direct access to motorways D5, D6 and D7, and a railway stop within walking distance. A planned rail link between Václav Havel Airport Prague and Kladno is expected to further improve connectivity for employees.

"The fact that GN Group has chosen Panattoni Business Park Kladno for its further development is further evidence that revitalised brownfields suitable for industrial construction can offer conditions that meet the requirements of demanding international companies," said Jan Andrejco, regional development director at Panattoni. Lukáš Musil, a board member of investment group RSJ, noted: "The former Poldi Kladno site is a place with a remarkable industrial history, which we are now continuing. The arrival of GN Group is further proof that this location is regaining its appeal."
