GLP has commenced development of a 51,000 sqm warehouse at GLP Park Prague Chrastany, 40,000 sqm of which has been leased to e-commerce business, Alza.

Chrastany is GLP’s second project with Alza, the largest e-commerce business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Alza has been operating at GLP Park Bratislava Senec since 2015, where it now occupies 47,000 sqm. Alza launched its expansion across Europe in 2014 and is now active in numerous European countries.

Alza intends to use the 40,000 sqm warehouse as an e-commerce distribution centre, showroom and a drive-through pick-up point. The site has been developed with an increased floor loading capacity to allow for the installation of a steel mezzanine, and partitions have been removed to create an open-plan layout to maximise warehouse space. Thanks to advanced loading docks with three levels, a wide range of vehicles from small vans to standard lorries can be used to conveniently access the site.

Construction has now begun and is due to complete in Q2 of 2022. The site will comprise two separate units of 40,000 sqm and 11,000 sqm, with the latter still available to lease. Both units are expected to receive a BREEAM Excellent certification.

To ensure the safety and well-being of customers, the logistics park has been designed to allow pedestrians safe access away from truck traffic and includes designated leisure zones within its gardens.
