A furniture manufacturer is settling into the MLP Poznań West logistics centre. MLP Group is to develop over 26,000 sqm for the tenant. The client was assisted by a team of specialists of the leading commercial real estate consultancy JLL during the transaction.

The furniture manufacturer, which currently leases approximately 4,000 sqm of warehouse space, is set to significantly expand the space it occupies. Under the lease agreement, as part of the MLP Poznań West expansion project, MLP Group will deliver to the tenant over 26,200 sqm of additional space this year. The space being developed will include approximately 300 sqm of modern office space, with the rest to be used primarily for warehousing purposes.

The new facilities will be handed over to the tenant in a two-stage process. A unit with an area of approximately 21,000 sqm is scheduled for delivery in late March and early April of this year. The remaining 5,000 sqm will be ready in late August and early September this year. In line with the developer’s strategy, the new unit will meet BREEAM certification requirements, which will significantly reduce its operating costs.

The general contractor on the project is WPIP of Poznań, a company with extensive experience in warehouse construction.

"We are pleased to see our project, MLP Poznań West, grow so fast. The new lease agreement demonstrates that MLP Group’s quality offer meets the tenant’s expectations. It also attests to our flexible and partner-like approach to business relationships. Moreover, in accordance with the Group’s strategy, we are implementing green solutions at the site of the logistics centre, such as solar PV panels on the roof of the hall and shelters for bicycles, electric vehicle charging stations and insect hotels on the park premises. At each stage of the development project, MLP Group seeks to demonstrate its environmental commitment and ensure comfort of the facility users", noted Agnieszka Góźdź, Sales Director at MLP Group S.A.

MLP Poznań West is a distribution centre located on the western side of Poznań, at the S11 expressway and only 7 km from the A2 motorway and S11 junction. The centre focuses primarily on e-commerce, logistics, distribution and light industrial production companies. Ultimately, it will offer approximately 150,000 sqm of warehouse and office space.
