DP World has been selected by the BMW Group to operate a new logistics center in Ostrava.

The facility is being developed at the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park, marking DP World’s latest automotive hub in Central Europe and its first-ever in the Czech Republic. Spanning over 120,000 sqm of warehouse space, DP World will provide the BMW Group with integrated solutions covering all inbound, storage, and outbound logistics.

"At DP World, we firmly believe in the strength and potential of the European automotive industry. The investment in Ostrava clearly confirms this commitment. This new site expands our network in Central Europe while highlighting the quality of our logistics services," says Tobias Fenzl, Global Account Director, DP World.

Robert Sgariboldi, Country Manager, DP World Czechia, adds: "This project is a fundamental vote of confidence in the Czech logistics market. DP World is systematically building a strong logistics platform here, ranging from contract logistics to freight forwarding. The creation of the Ostrava center, which will generate over 750 jobs, represents a major milestone for our company and further proof of our capabilities in the region."

The project builds on the successful collaboration between DP World and the BMW Group across the region, including the recently opened BMW production plant in Debrecen, Hungary, where DP World also provides integrated logistics services.
