Danubius Hotels Zrt. is expanding its hotel portfolio through a new international franchise partnership. As a result of the agreement between Danubius and the Radisson Hotel Group, the Radisson Individuals brand will make its debut in Hungary. With this addition, Danubius now operates five international hotel brands.
Under the terms of the agreement, the recently refurbished 126-room Hotel Erzsébet will operate under the name Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest, a member of Radisson Individuals, starting at the end of summer 2026. The partnership combines the development of Danubius's own brands with the operation of international hotel brands.
In addition to its Danubius and Ensana properties, the UK-owned company also operates Hilton Budapest and the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel. With the addition of Hotel Erzsébet, Danubius's portfolio now comprises 16 hotels across five brands. The company introduced the first Hilton hotel in Central and Eastern Europe to Hungary, as well as the country's first Radisson hotel.
"This agreement represents far more than a new franchise partnership. Following its transformation, Hotel Erzsébet will join an internationally recognised brand, opening up new opportunities to reach guests across global markets," said Balázs Kovács, CEO of Danubius Hotels Zrt.
"We are proud to bring Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest into our portfolio. This signing is an example of how Radisson Individuals allows independent hotels to maintain their own character while gaining the strength of Radisson Hotel Group's international network," said David Jenkins, Vice President, Development Eastern Europe, Radisson Hotel Group. Hotel Erzsébet will operate as usual until the rebranding in late summer 2026.
