Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed an exclusive commercialisation agent for the Bawełnianka Shopping Centre in Bełchatów. The owner of the scheme is Krakow-based Gbb Invest Spółka z o.o.

Bawełnianka is located in the historic heart of the city, at the site of the former Bełchatowskie Zakłady Przemysłu Bawełnianego cotton mill. It has an area of close to 23,000 sqm, nearly 100 stores and service outlets, multiple restaurants and a leisure zone with a cinema and a fitness club. Its new investor has decided to extend the shopping centre’s leisure component and develop a new, attractive offer for families and children. The addition of new functions and creation of an engaging place for Bełchatów’s residents to meet, entertain and relax will drive further growth of the town’s centre. The shopping centre is scheduled for opening in the first half of 2021.

“We are aware of the huge potential of the Bawełnianka Shopping Centre, which combines the city’s history and its current modern look. With our support, this complex stands a good chance of becoming a top retail and leisure destination in the area. We work daily with Sebastian Kielecki, the shopping centre’s leasing director acting on behalf of the investor. By working closely together and skilfully combining retail, entertainment and F&B options, we want to turn this scheme into the most popular meeting place in the city that meets residents’ current needs,” said Lucyna Śliż, Associate, Business Development Director, Retail Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.

Ukraine's housing recovery: Donor support in action

by Property Forum
As Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine enters its fourth year, the scale of destruction to the country's residential stock remains staggering.
