Cushman & Wakefield is expanding its Project & Development Services (PDS) team, to include a new C&W Design + Build platform. In Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), the new service will be headed by Glyn Evans, based in Prague.

Glyn, who will also lead PDS within the Czech Republic, will be joined by experienced architect Marie Vlčková, the new Head of Design. Marie will lead the interior design and the realisation of commercial fit-outs, as well as providing Workplace Consultancy services. These changes are part of the global transformation of PDS at Cushman & Wakefield.

Philip Nye, Chair, Project & Development Services EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “In response to market demand, we are building a regional Design & Build platform within our highly-successful PDS business. The hiring of Glyn and Marie is a significant stage in the development of this service within Central & Eastern Europe and, together with our recent acquisition of ADMOS in Belgium & Luxembourg, we are extending our capability to provide Design & Build services. We will continue to invest in PDS throughout EMEA, to provide the range of services in all of the locations requested by our clients.”

Glyn has more than 10 years’ experience delivering project management and commercial fit out services in the CEE region. He joins Cushman & Wakefield from JLL where he was the Director of Project Management CEE and, from 2015, the Managing Director in the Czech Republic of Tétris – JLL’s Design & Build subsidiary. While at JLL he led five regional project management teams, as well as projects including the extension of Design & Build services in the Czech Republic to both occupiers and investors in commercial real estate. He is a member, and the former Chairman, of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Czech Republic. He is also a qualified LEED Accredited Professional.

Glyn Evans, Head of Design & Build, CEE, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The ability to deliver Design, Project Management and Construction services under a single turnkey contract is something commercial occupiers and owners are turning to more and more. Owners and occupiers no longer perceive investments into the workplace as simply an extra cost – instead, they view it as a necessary investment in the quality of the working environment, which is reflected in both tenant interest and employee productivity. Well designed and delivered interiors are also the key to recruiting and retaining a new workforce.”

Marie Vlčková, who has worked for Tétris Design & Build as a Senior Architect since 2014, joins the Prague office along with Glyn Evans. In her previous role, she completed more than 20 successful projects alongside Glyn, not only in the Czech Republic but also in Slovakia, Latvia and Lebanon. Their occupier clients include names such as Amazon, MSD, Lenovo, Pfizer, Uber and Ford, as well as designing projects for owners such as Invesco and CPI. Marie Vlčková graduated from Brno Technical University’s Faculty of Architecture. In Cushman & Wakefield, she will hold the position Head of Design.
