CTP invests over €35 million in the construction of the new warehouse for Quehenberger Logistics in CTPark Bucharest West, the company announced.

CTP convinced Quehenberger Logistics to move their entire logistics activity for Brico Depot Romania to CTPark Bucharest West. Therefore, CTP invests over €35 million in the construction of the new warehouse.

Quehenberger Logistics operates the logistics activity of Brico Depot Romania through Kingfisher, and will move all its Romanian operations to CTPark Bucharest West located at 20 km on the Bucharest – Pitești Highway.

The new warehouse will have 102,000 sqm, with 12 drive-ins and 105 docks. The building will be BREEAM Excellent certified and will have over 55,000 sqm of green space, 100% LED-lighting, and gray water treatment and reuse facilities. The construction works will be completed by the fall of this year.

Quehenberger Logistics operates the logistics activity for companies like Selgros or PPT inside CTP parks for over five years, having rental properties of over 150,000 sqm. Kingfisher’s decision to move Brico Depot’s operations is based on the account that Brico Depot’s need to have more efficient logistics on the Romanian market.

“As Brico Depot, we continue growing and optimizing our operations in Romania. In order to support that ambition, we constantly align and improve our logistics network. After merging our two separate legacy logistics networks under one with our partner Quehenberger in CTP Park, now we are looking forward to merging our separate facilities under our new dedicated monoblock DC provided by CTP which will help us giving excellent service to our customers while improving our operational efficiency and logistics costs”, says Burak Gurcan, Logistics Director at Brico Depot.

CTPark Bucharest West is strategically located 20 km away from the city of Bucharest, at the second exit of the A1 highway. Currently, the park offers more than 300,000 sqm for rent for over 100 companies in the e-commerce and logistics sectors.

The carbon cost is already in your building. You just can't see it yet

by Property Forum
A structural shift is rewriting the financial logic of European commercial real estate. It isn't being driven by ESG pressure or voluntary sustainability labels. It's being driven by regulation — and the numbers are concrete enough that ignoring them is becoming a financial risk. A recent white paper by workcloud24 traces the mechanism in detail: how the operational energy and CO₂ performance of a building transmits into net operating income, asset value, and financing conditions. The argument isn't that green buildings are virtuous. It's that inefficient buildings are becoming measurably more expensive to own, operate, and finance.
