Contera has begun preparatory and construction work on the City Site project in Bratislava, according to YIMBA.sk. The former brownfield is being transformed into a space for small business units.
20 older buildings will be removed from the site and replaced by four new ones organised into a series of streets, delimited by parking spaces. The new buildings will provide 19,190 sqm, of which 2.500 sqm will be retail space. All buildings will have green roofs and facades.
Contera expects that the main tenants will include local companies looking for space for growth and development of their activities. The individual new buildings will have flexible spaces for healthcare companies with laboratories, places for education, areas for research and development, technological or warehouse facilities, or showrooms and sales.
At this moment, the first preparatory and construction works are already underway in the area. Old buildings are being removed, and those that are to be preserved are being modified.
